I am currently revising the African Desk website to better inform you about your tour, the country of Namibia and its inhabitants.
Of course, I am still here to organize an extraordinary honeymoon, an unforgettable family holiday or individual events such as Township Tour or balloon ride.
Please write to me via the contact form, I will contact you immediately.
- Elizabeth de Beer -
African Desk was launched as a tour facilitator in Namibia in September 2001 and is located in the centre of Swakopmund, a small town at Namibia's Atlantic Coast with about 65.000 inhabitants. The office is situated in one of the most famous historical buildings - the Woermann house - and operated by Elizabeth de Beer, an expert in the travel sector with more than 26 years of experience. African Desk is an active member of Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) - ensuring that services rendered and facilities provided to tourists comply with the prescribed standards and promoting the training of persons engaged in the tourism industry.
African Desk is a travel office in Swakopmund (Namibia) dedicated to create a better understanding of different cultures in Namibia and in overseas. Committed to introduce foreign travellers into the people’s lives, values and culture we strive to encourage the development of remote communities. We also inspire a lively and human link between visitors, tour guides, hosts and local suppliers. This is what we call a “cultural encounter at eye level”. In employee trainings we equip tour guides with knowledge and help to develop professional skills in order to be fit for taking a professional part in the tourism sector.
