Northern Namibia

Frans Indongo Lodge

Kategorie: Mittel

Located 43 km northwest of Otjiwarongo, Frans Indongo Lodge exudes the typical charm of the people of northern Namibia. The hotel is modeled on the Ovambo style: a palisade of pointed piles surrounds the lodge and gives a sense of security. Inside, another palisade separates the public area and the chalets from each other, ensuring a high degree of privacy.

Furthermore, the construction used natural materials such as stones, wood and reeds. Typical objects of the Ovambokultur decorate the interiors and give the lodge its own charm.

The luxurious character of the lodge can also be found in the guest rooms. There are 2 double rooms, 2 family units and 8 spacious chalets.

The lush green garden stands in the shade of tall trees and is visited by small and larger feathered guests: an artificially created stream attracts royal swans, red-bellied shrikes and red-fronted barbets.

The pool invites you for a refreshing dip in the cool water. For a drink at sunset all guests can use the large wooden veranda, as well as the small observation tower. Both are great for watching the life around the waterhole. The rare Nayla, black Springbok and white Blesbok, saber and horse antelope regularly appear there.

The gourmet kitchen will spoil your palate with a variety of delicious dishes, including farm fresh vegetables and salads refined with herbs from the garden.
