Mount Etjo Safari Lodge nestles within the Okonjati Wildlife Sanctuary between Okahandja and Otiwarongo. It has 27 rooms in a moorish style with round arches outside - some of them with a whirlpool (jakuzzi) in the courtyard. Hundreds of species of birds and mammals can be sighted in this area, including elephant, black and white rhino, hippo, giraffe and numerous antelopes ranging from Kudus to the diminutive Damaraland Dik-Dik.
Predators, such as lion, leopard and cheetah also roam this area. Gameviewing is conducted from open safari vehicles and on foot, accompanied by experienced guides. Accommodation options at the Main Lodge include a private apartment furnished with king-size bed, en-suite bathroom with round bathtub, private dining room and lounge as well as a private garden with whirlpool. Other rooms in the Main Lodge are furnished with two double beds or a king size bed and have en-suite shower and toilet facilities.
